This North Liberty sunroom was transformed into a comfortable, low-maintenance four-season room designed for year-round enjoyment.

These North Liberty homeowners already had something special—a welcoming sunroom with a beautiful view. The challenge was Iowa’s unpredictable weather. During the hottest summer days and coldest winter months, the space simply wasn’t comfortable enough to enjoy, leaving it unused for much of the year.

We converted the existing sunroom into a fully conditioned four-season room designed to perform through Iowa’s temperature extremes. Along the way, we discovered that the original structure had been framed slightly out of level. Because the new flooring required a much flatter surface, the entire floor had to be carefully leveled near the end of the project—right in the middle of a sub-zero polar vortex.

Despite the unexpected challenge, the finished space preserves the natural light, beautiful views, and connection to the outdoors that made the original sunroom so appealing. What was once a seasonal retreat is now a comfortable, functional extension of the home that can be enjoyed
all year long.
