Jobsite Assistant/Residential Construction Laborer
Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated laborer to support our field crew on a variety of residential job sites. This position plays a key role in keeping projects running smoothly by assisting with day-to-day tasks, deliveries, cleanup, and basic manual labor.
Key Responsibilities:
Lift and move materials, tools, and supplies as needed
Assist carpenters and project leads with tasks on site
Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work sites
Communicate clearly and promptly with project managers and team leads
Follow directions and complete tasks in a timely manner
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Clean background check
Must be dependable, respectful, and team-oriented
Punctuality and clear communication are absolutely required
Humility - must be teachable and willing to ask questions when needed
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and perform physical labor in varying conditions
Has familiarity with construction tools and practices is a plus (but not required)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced builder to join our team. This individual must have a strong background in residential construction and remodeling, with a proven track record of high-quality work and professionalism. The ideal candidate will be reliable, punctual, and have excellent communication skills, along with the integrity and character that our clients and team expect.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform hands-on building and remodeling tasks including framing, finish carpentry, and other general construction duties
Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
Collaborate with subcontractors and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and to required standards
Maintain a clean and organized job site
Follow safety protocols and building codes at all times
Communicate progress and issues clearly and professionally
Be proactive in identifying and solving job site challenges
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in residential construction and remodeling
Strong skills in carpentry, framing, and finish work
Confident using tools needed for the job
Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadline
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
Clean background report OR a willingness to be honest and forthcoming about any prior legal issues
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
