A deck rebuild focused on safety, lasting quality, and caring for a beautiful home.
Trapped water remained inside this deck’s structure for months—even without rain. Crafted removed the damaged framing and rebuilt the deck to address the deterioration.
These homeowners already had a beautiful place to gather and enjoy their backyard. But beneath the deck’s surface, trapped moisture was causing damage. Water had remained inside the structure for months—even without rain—and was rotting the framing that supported it. This project began with a need to address that hidden deterioration and protect a home they loved.
Our team reframed the deck, installed TimberTech Advanced PVC decking, and replaced the railings. We also replaced the floor inside the existing sunroom, giving the connected indoor and outdoor spaces a matching finish. The sunroom and pergola were already part of the home; our work renewed the surfaces beneath them while preserving the character of the space.
The biggest improvement goes beyond what the finished photos can show. The damaged framing and waterlogged decking are gone, and the new moisture-resistant PVC decking eliminates the regular staining a wood deck requires. For the homeowners, that means less upkeep and more time for meals in the sunroom, grilling outside, and enjoying the backyard.
Even though there had been no rain for months, the water came pour out of these deck pieces as we took it apart to rebuild it.
